Jodi Hallsten
Its been quite the year of the career for Jodi Hallsten. In February,
Jodi was designated the Outstanding University Teacher at Illinois State
University. This is the highest teaching honor awarded at the university, which employs
over 1,100 faculty and enrolls 21,000 students. Then in March, Jodi received the (ISU)
School of Communication Teaching Excellence award. Finally, in May she was
named the Education Ambassador/Teacher of the Year by the Bloomington (IL)
Sunrise Rotary Club. Jodi is just thrilled about it all. While its
incredibly rewarding to have my work with students validated and recognized on so many
levels, I will forever be grateful for the University award. I cant tell you how
hard Ive worked for it. I still feel such awe that they chose me! Jodi is the daughter of David Hallsten and granddaughter of
Dorothy (Lilyquist) Hallsten.
